Why are water based timber finished coatings better?
Intergrain Enviropro and the Environment
Conventional timber flooring finishes contain a high amount of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), which are the petroleum based solvents that evaporate from the coating while it is drying. Solvent fumes contribute to air pollution and create an unpleasant working environment.
Intergrain Enviropro Water based Timber Flooring finishes emit substantially less VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) to the atmosphere than traditional solvent based finishes. They are low in odour, and naturally, are much gentler on the environment.
