10 Great Reasons

High Performance Timber Flooring Finishes

Environmentally responsible

Timberseal Description
Intergrain Enviropro Timberseal is a high performance water based sealer that enhances the natural colour of timber and parquetry floors. Timberseal aids in filling open grain timber, ensuring that the timber has an even appearance without discolouration or patchiness. When used with Enviropro Endure 1 Pack and 2 Pack, Timberseal becomes part of a high performance system.

Where to use
Timber and parquetry floors.

Preparation
All surfaces must be clean, dry, free of wax, grease, dust and other contaminants. The presence of contaminants increases the possibility of rejection and delamination.

Fine sand the floor, finishing with 100 grit sandpaper, then with 150 mesh screenback and vacuum thoroughly with a commercial grade vacuum cleaner.

Mixing
Shake the pack for 1 minute prior to application.

Application
Cut in edges with a brush. Apply Timberseal at 10 - 12m²/L using a 11mm Selleys Spirit micro-fibre roller. Do not overwork the coating. Finishing strokes should be in the direction of the timber grain. Sand the sealer with a worn 150 mesh screen if needed. When screening, ensure that you move quickly over the floor and avoid creating hot spots. If grain raise occurs you can apply the first top coat and then screen the surface. This will create a smooth finish without having to recut the grain of the timber.

*Coverage rates are subject to variation between different timber species. To ensure adequate timber protection, this coverage should not be exceeded.
^ These dry times are based on drying conditions of 25°C and 50% relative humidity. Dry times will be subject to climatic conditions, film thickness and airflow. Use below 10°C is not advised. If using above 30°C, use of Enviropro Wet Edge Extender is recommended. It is not advised to apply coatings when the temperature exceeds 35°C as they may dry too quickly under the roller, resulting in a substandard finish. The drying time will vary greatly when the temperature is below 10°C or above 30°C, or if the relative humidity is higher than 50%.
