Description
Intergrain Enviropro Wet Edge Extender is a high performance, environmentally responsible, water based wet edge extender for use with Enviropro Endure 1 Pack, Endure 2 Pack, Endure High Build and Timberseal. Wet Edge Extender is an additive that increases the working time of all Enviropro timber coatings without affecting the viscosity of the coating. It improves levelling, especially at higher temperatures and helps to reduce the occurrence of lap marking caused by the coating drying too quickly.
Where to use
Wet Edge Extender should be used in conditions where a longer wet edge time for any of the Enviropro products is required. Temperatures of 30ºC and above, low humidity and high airflow rates and large areas present wet edge challenges. Wet Edge Extender helps to overcome problems that could be caused by the coating drying too fast including poor levelling, blisters and the presence of lap marking.
Preparation
Add 5% of Wet Edge Extender to the selected Enviropro product. For example, if using 1 litre of Endure, 50mL of Wet Edge Extender would be required.
Application
Add 5% of Wet Edge Extender into the selected Enviropro product. Shake the final solution for 2 minutes to incorporate Wet Edge Extender into the selected Enviropro product. Note: Wet Edge Extender increases the drying time of the coating, therefore, a longer time before overcoating will be required under certain conditions.
Please refer to the instructions provided on the Intergrain Enviropro Wet Edge Extender container before commencing your project it is not advised to apply coatings when the temperature exceeds 35°C as they may dry too quickly under the roller, resulting in a substandard finish.
